Associate Professor Francis Wong Keng Lin is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in private practice, under Island Orthopaedic Consultants, a member of Healthway Medical Corporation. Prior to leaving for private practice, he was a consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Assistant Professor in Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Clinical Lecturer in NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Clinical Physician Faculty Member of the Singhealth Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Programme. He held multiple roles in his hospital, including Chairman of the Wound Committee, Research Director and the Campus Service Chief for the SingHealth Duke-NUS Cell Therapy Centre. He is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, National University of Singapore, and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Cardiff University. He remains a visiting consultant to Sengkang General Hospital as well as National University Hospital in Singapore.
Assoc Prof Francis Wong has a special interest in healing complex wounds using innovative technologies, including limb salvage surgery for diabetic foot wounds. He was the Programme Founder and Lead of the hospital’s multi-disciplinary orthopaedic surgery wound and lower limb salvage service: The Diabetic Limb Salvage (DLS) clinic, where nurses, doctors, podiatrists and allied health professionals come together to give patients a new lease of life to walk and work again. In private practice, he is now spearheading the Nobel Diabetic Foot Care Clinic, where he is replicating his wound care success to serve patients in private practice.
