Dr Josephine Lovegrove is an experienced registered nurse with a background in aged care and acute (surgical) nursing, who moved into nursing research with an interest in health service quality and patient safety. She is passionate about improving care and translating evidence into practice for better patient outcomes.
Dr Lovegrove has spent several years as a nurse researcher in an acute hospital setting focusing primarily on pressure injury prevention and completed her Honours and PhD in this area. Currently, as a Senior Research Fellow with the NHMRC CRE in Wiser Wound Care, Dr Lovegrove’s research is also focused on intravascular device and surgical wounds. Overall, she has disseminated her work internationally with multiple peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations and continues to contribute to the supervision of Honours and Doctor of Philosophy students.
