Louise has over 25 years experience in Wound Management and established her own Private Practice (Wound Therapies) in 2014. She has worked across a number of public hospitals and Community settings both in Australia and overseas. She currently works collaboratively with several Aged Care Providers, private hospitals and runs her own specialist community Wound Clinic.
Louise was previously an Honorary Clinical Fellow for Australian Catholic University and continues to participate in research projects with leading Queensland Universities and is also part of the postgraduate teaching team at the University of Tasmania.
She is passionate about wound care and striving for best practice and has participated in several international working groups for Pressure Injuries and Leg ulcers. As a specialist Louise also works collaboratively with the Nurses for Nurses Network delivering education, providing wound webinars, workshops and conferences.
She has 2 girls both studying interstate, loves the Sunny Coast lifestyle, playing golf and is a foundation member of the Global Nurses and Midwives Rotary Club.
