Melanie is a Wound Care Clinical Nurse Consultant in St. George Hospital, Sydney Australia. She has 16 years of diverse clinical experienced previously working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Stomal Therapy, Clinical Nurse Consultant for Ambulatory Care Unit, Outpatient Department and Hospital in the Home and a Colorectal, Peritonectomy and UGI ward nurse.
She is passionate in improving her practice through pursuing continuing education, obtaining specialty certifications and engaging in Research and Evidence- Based Practice. Melanie has obtained a Graduate Diploma in Acute Care Nursing, Graduate Certificate in Stomal Therapy Nursing and Masters of Clinical Nursing (Acute Care Nursing) and more recently a Nurse Practitioner Endorsement.
Mel finds inspiration from her family, especially her two beautiful children. She enjoys quiet time with nature, music and exploring history.
