Udeshika Sugathapala, is a registered nurse from Sri Lanka, serves as a senior lecturer at the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. With a passion for healthcare and education, her research endeavours focus on vital areas including pressure injury prevention in the elderly, nursing pedagogy, and child health and nutrition. Udeshika commenced her academic journey by obtaining her BSc (Hons) Nursing degree in 2011 from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka laying a strong foundation for her career. In 2017, she furthered her academic achievements by completing her Master of Philosophy from Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka demonstrating her commitment to advancing nursing practice through scholarly inquiry. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Griffith University, Australia, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and contributing to the global nursing community.
