Katherine Pattison’s nursing background expands 30 years of varied clinical nursing roles here in Australia and the United Kingdom. She specialised for 22 years as a Clinical Nurse in Intensive Care focusing on Wound Management Portfolio’s and experience as Wound Research Nurse in Pressure Injury Prevention skin integrity research improving Intensive Care patient’s outcomes with Evidenced Based implications addressing clinical practice guidelines. She has been involved in Pressure Injury Prevention Committee’s, collaboratively working with nurses’ hospital wide to promote clinical strategies to minimise pressure injury risk.
She was awarded “Contribution to Clinical Practice (2016) and “Leadership Ability” (2017) for promoting Evidence Based Wound Care in Intensive Care. She currently works as a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Wound Care in residential aged care for Bolton Clarke. Following her passion for Wound Care, Katherine completed her Maters Degree in Wound Care from Monash University.
