Tissue Repair

Tissue Repair is an Australian-based company that has developed a proprietary β-glucan molecule called Glucoprime® which is designed for skin care and is delivered topically in a hydrogel formulation.  Over the past few years there has been an increasing amount of work done to investigate the role that β-glucans can play in foods and cosmetics, as well as a variety of therapeutic applications.

This research has provided clear evidence that β-glucans can improve the condition of skin from cosmetic procedures.  Tissue Repair has used this understanding as a foundation to develop Glucoprime®, a specific form of β-glucan which has a molecular structure that is optimally suited for skin care.  Glucoprime® has been formulated into a TGA Approved soothing hydrogel called TR Pro+™ which is applied on skin that may be damaged or wounded, such as after cosmetic procedures, biopsy or skin cancer removal.

Due to their superior hydrating ability, β-glucan-containing products like TR Pro+™ offer an alternative to other more invasive treatments aimed at the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles such as injectable collagen and hyaluronic acid.
