Dr. Meredith Sheil

Dr Sheil MBBS FRACP PHD is CMO of Medical Ethics PTY LTD a research and development company specialising in the development of topical anaesthetic products for open wound situations. Using her experience in paediatric cardiology and management of children following open heart surgery, as well as sheep farming Dr Sheil was responsible for the development of the first topical wound anaesthesic product for use on wounds in infant animals following surgical husbandry procedures, providing a desperately needed avenue for pain relief for these animals. Now used successfully on an estimated 7-8 million animals annually, Dr Sheil, with Medical Ethics, is now progressing similar products to address wound pain in humans with analogous wounds, including significant traumatic, burn and ulceration wounds.
