Hannah is a StAR (Strategic Academic Recruitment) Research Lecturer in Nursing and Tissue Viability at the RCSI, University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Skin Wounds and Trauma research Centre. Hannah was awarded her PhD with the RCSI School of Nursing and Midwifery in May 2023. Her research focused on advancing technology for the early detection of pressure ulcers. Hannah’s clinical experience is in cardiology nursing, research and management.
Hannah is an editorial board member at the Journal of Advanced Nursing. She was awarded the EPUAP Research Committee Starting grant in 2024 for her EmpowerPEx project – empowering patient expertise. EmpowerPEx aims to establish an advisory panel to identify research priorities for pressure ulcer prevention through lived experience partnership.
Passionate about delivering quality patient care, Hannah’s goal is to combine her research expertise and clinical experience to generate new evidence for early disease detection. Emphasising patient and public involvement, Hannah aims to bridge the gap between evidence and practice, fostering positive impacts on healthcare outcomes.
