Summer (one of the best seasons to travel to Australia) has average temperatures between 16.7 and 28.6°C (62 and 83.5°F) and little rain. Sometimes temperatures can reach 40°C (104°F). Adelaide has the driest air of any Australian city and enjoys the lowest humidity.

Autumn has mild weather with average temperatures from 12.7 to 22.7°C (55 to 73°F) and scarce rain. The city and rural areas become colorful with shades of red, orange and gold.

Winter (June – August)
Winter brings chilly temperatures from 8 to 16°C (46.5 to 60.8°F), and the nearby Adelaide Hills sparkle with frost. June showers the city with about 80 mm (3.1 inches) of rain, but Adelaide still remains the most arid of all the Australian capitals.

Spring (September – November)
The weather becomes warmer in spring with average temperatures ranging from 11.8 to 22°C (53.2 to 71.6°F). There is little rain but nights can be chilly as temperatures fall rapidly.
