Dr Hanif Haidari completed his PhD in 2021 at the University of South Australia. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow at Flinders University, and a recipient of the prestigious NHMRC Investigator Fellowship (2025–2029).
Dr Haidari has established a strong multidisciplinary research profile in the development of advanced antimicrobial technologies for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of chronic wound infections. He is passionate about working with clinicians, academics, and industry partners to develop innovative solutions for chronic wound care.
His research has resulted in 26 high-impact publications where two of these papers are ranked in the top 1% of their field, and he has received four publication awards as well as several invitations for conference and publications.
Dr Haidari has attracted over $4.53 million in funding (including more than $1 million as Chief Investigator). In addition to his research, Dr Haidari is actively involved in several professional organizations, advisory board, editorial board. He is a member of the Research & Education Committee for DEBRA Australia, Wounds Aus., an ECR Editor for Wound Practice and Research Journal and was the Chair of the UniSA EMCR group (2023–2025). He continues to supervise and mentor higher degree research students and early-career researchers, providing leadership to advance innovation in wound care.
