I am the wound specialist for SNSWLHD and Pressure injury lead as well as half of the Community nursing CNC with Leah Pennay.
Leah and I have spent the last 5 years upskilling the community nursing team. We now have the majority of our nurses trained as Conservative sharp wound debriders. We also have 23 lymphoedema therapists.
We run a large amount of education and training around the district. This includes face to face and recorded virtual education.
We have won the Rove award this year for the biggest reduction in wound related admission outside of the metro region. We also won the team of the year for SNSWLHD.
I manage complex wounds in both acute and community sectors.
I am also a professional potter and farmer.
I grew up travelling the world with my family in a Kombi van.
