Fabia Fiveash is an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and the shareholder and principal consultant of Skin & Wound Care Consultancy (SAWCC) in the Hunter Region, NSW. With more than two decades of advanced clinical experience, Fabia specialises in complex wound management, stomal therapy, and skin integrity across community, aged-care, private hospital, and telehealth settings.
Fabia holds a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Newcastle and has completed postgraduate specialist qualifications through the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) in both Stomal Therapy Nursing and Wound Management. Her clinical practice is grounded in contemporary evidence-based guidelines, with a strong focus on advanced wound modalities, comprehensive assessment frameworks, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
As the lead clinician at SAWCC, Fabia oversees wound-care research implementation, complex case reviews, and quality-improvement initiatives across regional NSW. Her work integrates advanced therapies (including photo biomodulation/EmoLED, negative pressure wound therapy, venous leg ulcer protocols, and comprehensive holistic-structured assessments) with patient-centred care models tailored for vulnerable and high-risk populations.
Fabia is actively engaged in research and professional development, contributing to clinical education programs, protocol development, and sector-wide improvement initiatives aligned with national guidelines and the Strengthened Aged-Care Quality Standards (2025). Her consultancy supports clients with neurological injury, chronic disease, and complex wounds, ensuring continuity of care and measurable improvements in wound outcomes.
