Kia ora,
Flavia is originally from Brazil and has been living in New Zealand for the past 11 years. She has worked as a nurse for the last three years, with experience in both surgical wards and community nursing. Flavia is currently completing a postgraduate certificate through the University of Otago to further develop her clinical knowledge and provide high-quality care to her community patients. While she values the diversity of conditions seen in hospital settings, she is particularly passionate about district nursing and the privilege of providing care in people’s homes, where patients feel safe and supported. Flavia also believes in promoting sustainability within the health sector to improve environmental outcomes and, in turn, enhance health outcomes, especially for vulnerable populations.
