Holly Meakins is a Registered Nurse and nurse academic with a clinical background in community nursing, aged care, and primary health care. She leads wound care curriculum development within an undergraduate nursing program and coordinates postgraduate wound care education. Holly holds postgraduate qualifications in tissue viability and has been actively involved with Wounds Australia for many years, including service on the Western Australia branch committee and the national Research Committee. Her research focuses on wound care education, including defining essential wound care content for undergraduate nursing programs and developing strengths-based approaches to preparing nurses for contemporary wound care practice. Holly is currently completing a PhD examining wound care competence assessment in undergraduate nursing education.
