Joanne is a podiatrist, based in the UK, with a special interest in diabetes, wound care and vascular health. She brings extensive clinical experience in high-risk foot management, having worked with Professor Mike Edmonds and the team in London. An internationally recognised presenter, Joanne regularly shares practical insights into the challenges of limb salvage and best-practice approaches to wound management. Her research has focused on workforce capability and clinical decision-making for people living with diabetes. Passionate about professional development, Joanne is committed to upskilling the foot health workforce and supporting evidence-based practice across podiatry and wound care teams. She is also currently promoting vascular assessment strategies as one of The Doppler Girls, alongside her podiatric colleague Emily Haworth, in the UK and Europe. With a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through education and innovation, Joanne aims to bridge research with real-world practices to help deliver better care.
