Kahlia Borserio

Kahlia Borserio is a registered Podiatrist and Doctor of Public Health candidate undertaking industry-partnered research focused on improving healthcare quality and safety in rural, regional, and remote Australia. Her doctoral research explores the feasibility, sustainability, and integration of AI-enabled digital health solutions to support chronic wound assessment and management in community nursing settings.

With over a decade of clinical experience in lower limb and high-risk wound care, Kahlia brings a unique perspective that spans frontline clinical practice, health service governance, and system-level quality improvement. She holds leadership roles in clinical risk and board governance, enabling her to bridge research evidence with real-world implementation and policy translation.

Kahlia’s work focuses on strengthening equitable access to specialist wound care services through digital innovation, workforce capability development, and sustainable models of care. She is passionate about supporting rural and regional clinicians and improving outcomes for patients living with chronic and complex wounds.
