Menno van Etten is a Dutch-trained physiotherapist based in Norway with over 30 years’ experience in wheelchair seating, pressure injury prevention, and medical device development. He has conducted extensive wheelchair seating assessments and delivered seminars throughout Norway and Scandinavia.
He previously worked as a Product Manager for a wheelchair manufacturer, focusing on seating solutions for elderly individuals and people with severe disabilities. Throughout his career, he has combined clinical practice, product development, research, and education.
Menno has co-authored several research papers and a Cochrane Systematic Review examining the relationship between seating, lying positions, physical deformities, and pressure injuries. A highly regarded expert in pressure injury prevention, he has been an invited speaker at international conferences including EPUAP and EWMA, and his work is widely cited. He is currently Competence Manager at Tidewave Medical.
