Sharryn Cook is a Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wound and Stomal Therapy at Te Whara Ora – Health New Zealand, Nelson Marlborough, where she provides advanced clinical expertise in wound and stoma care, education, and pressure injury prevention. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Health Science, as well as a Master’s degree in Health Science, reflecting her strong commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice. Sharryn serves as an Area Coordinator and National Committee member for the New Zealand Wound Care Society and has been actively involved in the Pressure Injury Advisory Group since 2018. She is also a member of Wounds Australia. In these roles, she contributes to national wound care initiatives, professional education, and guideline development, including representation on key advisory groups and international guideline development projects. Her practice is characterised by a focus on equitable healthcare delivery and the reduction of barriers to effective wound management across diverse clinical settings.
