Associate Professor Ellen Davies leads the Research Program at Adelaide Health Simulation (AHS), College of Health, Adelaide University. Her work advances simulation-based education for the health professions, with a strong focus on the theoretical, organisational, and human factors that underpin meaningful learning and improved clinical outcomes. She positions AHS as both a rigorous research hub and a centre for evidence-based innovation in clinical education and systems testing.
A/Prof Davies’ research is characterised by theory-informed, collaborative inquiry into how and why simulation works across different contexts. This work bridges evidence with real-world educational and health system needs.
Guided by a vision of simulation as evidence-informed and system-integrated, she fosters cross-disciplinary partnerships to strengthen workforce capability, professional development, and healthcare safety.
