Mandy Mitchell

Mandy Mitchell is a Clinical Nurse specialising in wound management across the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, working at Southern Fleurieu and Adelaide Hills sites. She has 30 years of nursing experience, including specialist practice in burn management in the United Kingdom, community nursing, and advanced wound management. Mandy previously worked as a Clinical Nurse Wound Specialist with Wound Innovations and currently provides specialist care for complex clients through outpatient clinics and community settings and played a key role in establishing the wound management service in Victor Harbour. Mandy has a strong clinical focus on lower limb wounds and optimising evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes. She is currently undertaking a study evaluating the impact of compression bandaging workshops using real-time sub-bandage pressure feedback to improve community nurses’ competence and confidence across the LHN.
