Associate Professor Dr Mohd Zurairie bin Mohd Zubir is a clinician-scientist, educator and health-system advocate in wound care. He is Associate Professor of Wound Care and Course Director for Postgraduate Wound Care Studies at Monash University Malaysia, leading curriculum development, faculty training and translational education to strengthen regional workforce capacity.
He is among the first cohort of approximately twenty physicians worldwide awarded the European Fellow in Wound Healing, benchmarked to the European Training Requirements endorsed within the UEMS framework. Dr Zurairie holds an MBBS from the University of Malaya, a Master’s in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair from Cardiff University, a Diplôme Universitaire in War Surgery from the Lebanese University of Beirut, and certification as a Professional Diving Medical Officer.
Formerly Kelantan State Wound Care Coordinator and Head of the Wound Care Unit at HRPZ II, he established multidisciplinary limb-salvage pathways. He currently holds national and international leadership roles and serves as an Honorary Visiting Clinical Specialist at UMMC, advancing standards in diabetic foot and chronic wound care.
