Sarah Montalto

Sarah Montalto (Hulbert-Lemmel) has worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator since 2021 in the Surgical and Nursing Workforce areas. Sarah has worked as a surgical ward nurse since 2026, has held project lead roles, and has undertaken the Safer Care Victoria Improvement Fellowship Program. Sarah has completed a Master of Advanced Nursing (minor thesis) on acute care nurses’ experiences in providing evidence-based care for laparotomy wounds. Sarah is currently undertaking PhD research on healthcare professionals’ perspectives on AI-assisted wound management. Sarah has published her research in Australian and international journals and won the Wiley “Top Viewed Article” award in 2023.
