Tackling Oedema in High-Risk Patients: Expanding the Boundaries of Compression Pump Therapy

Synopsis

Join Dr Gabrielle McMullin for a thought-provoking session exploring the realities of managing chronic oedema in complex and high-risk patient presentations.

This session will go beyond theory, unpacking the underlying physiology and clinical drivers of oedema, and how these directly impact wound healing outcomes. Dr McMullin will draw on her extensive clinical experience to explore challenges across a range of conditions, including:

  • Leg ulceration, with a focus on arterio-venous disease and obesity
  • Lymphoedema
  • Surgical wounds of the lower limb
  • Septic shock and VIALI
  • Critical limb ischaemia

The session will bring theory to life through real-world case studies, highlighting practical decision-making in complex scenarios.

A Q&A session will follow, providing the opportunity to discuss challenges from your own practice.
