Synopsis
Join us for a breakfast seminar with Dr Justine O’Hara, who will share contemporary perspectives on wound reconstruction, drawing on her surgical experience across complex wounds and reconstructive pathways. Dr O’Hara will explore current approaches to optimising the wound environment to support reconstruction, decision‑making around adjunctive therapies, and practical considerations that influence outcomes.
As part of this discussion, she will share real‑world clinical insights from her experience using V.A.C.® Peel and Place Dressing, an all‑in‑one integrated NPWT dressing designed to streamline V.A.C.® Therapy delivery across care settings. The session will explore the clinical rationale behind the dressing design and how it aims to support consistent application, reduce variability, and maintain effective therapy throughout the reconstructive journey.
The seminar will conclude with surgeon‑led practical reflections — the “what I wish I knew earlier” learnings — including patient and wound selection, dressing choice, and integration across theatre, outpatient and home care workflows.
Attendees will gain a clear understanding of where V.A.C.® Peel and Place fits alongside traditional V.A.C.® dressings, supported by case‑based discussion and an interactive Q&A session.
