Synopsis
This interactive workshop focuses on implementing the newly launched Incontinence‑Associated Dermatitis (IAD) guidelines into clinical practice. Released in April this year, the guidelines provide updated, evidence‑based recommendations to support prevention, assessment and management of IAD across care settings.
Led by Michelle Barakat-Johnson (Sydney LHD), Anne‑Maree Dunk and Dimitri Beekman, this session will translate guideline principles into real‑world practice through clinical discussion, case examples and practical insights. Attendees will explore common implementation challenges, strategies to embed best practice into workflows, and how multidisciplinary teams can improve skin integrity outcomes. The workshop aims to support confident, consistent application of the guidelines to enhance patient care.
