Synopsis
Chronic wounds can be difficult, costly, time consuming and have a significant impact on a person’s quality of life. Timely referral by clinicians to a wound expert is essential if wound progress is not as expected.
The session will cover approaches to managing chronic wounds and the use of Flaminal® which has been clinically proven to aid in wound healing due its antimicrobial properties, stable composition and ability to conform to the wound surface, ensuring there is no dead space in the wound bed. Flaminal is a unique wound care product that is easy to use, cost-effective and aids in the healing of most wounds.
Appropriate secondary dressings, such as foams and absorbent dressings, will also be discussed.
